Fun Low Impact Workouts You Should Try

            Are you tired of going to the gym and doing the same routine every week? You should try to throw in some new exercise options to break the monotony. Here are some other options you can try:

  1. Paddleboarding: A cross between surfing and kayaking, this is a great upper body workout. Stand-up paddleboarding is done by standing up on a board and using a paddle to move you on the water. There are other combinations you can do while paddleboarding such as Paddleboard Yoga. This a relaxing and fun way to get your exercise in!
  2. Aqua Aerobics: Believe it or not, aqua aerobics isn’t just for senior citizens. There are actually some hardcore classes for the younger generation. Some of the exercises include running knee deep in water and doing inverted push-ups while being half submerged. The water makes it easy for your joints, but it will still get you breathing hard!
  3. Swimming: Swimming is another great activity to get in shape and it is easy on your joints as well. It is a great way to build up your endurance and upper body strength as well.
  4. Incline Skating: While this is hard on your feet and ankles, it is good for those with tender knees and arms. If your giving your upper body the day off, this is a good option for a workout.
  5. Walking/Hiking: Taking a walk/hike out in the forest or mountains around your home allows you to see Mother Nature’s beauty and burn off some calories. This is definitely  an enjoyable low-impact exercise.
