Salmon Goat Cheese Crackers..Try Something New!

Great for an afternoon snack or to serve as appetizers for a party plus it’s heart healthy!

  • Whole wheat flax seed crackers
  • Smoked Salmon (buy at store as is, no need to cook; approximately 2 slices/slivers per cracker)
  • Goat cheese (spread thin layer of cheese over cracker)
  • Caper buds (sprinkle on top as garnish)

There are many health benefits to this delicious snack:

Smoked Salmon: A great protein source that is also low in calories. Contains omega-3 fats, which help to decrease risk of cardiovascular disease. Also provides an excellent source of Vitamin D, helping to maintain bone density, and Selenium, which cleans up harmful toxins.

Flax Seed: Contains fiber to help with normal digestion. Another great source of omega-3–helps to lower LDL cholesterol and provide overall heart healthy benefits to help prevent heart disease

Capers: Provide a range of vitamins and antioxidants while being low calorie. The flavor goes great with meat and fish
