Banana Ginger Smoothie

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Don’t believe me? Look at the Special K box—it says the same thing. But seriously, skipping breakfast is not the way to lose weight. You will tend to overeat at lunch because you will be famished—you might not even make it to lunch, instead breaking down and eating too many M&Ms.

So eat a nutritious breakfast before you head off to work—one that will really kick start your metabolism for the day and slowly release its nutrients to keep you fortified until lunch. Below is a delicious Banana Ginger Smoothie recipe to get you started.

Ingredients:

2 ice cubes

1 cup milk

1 banana

1/2 cup yogurt

1/2 tsp. fresh ginger, grated

Directions:

Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Voila!
